This is a redesign project for NBA team Atlanta Hawks. We aim to build a consistent cross-media experience that can engage the audience in the arena before/during/after the NBA game.

Committed to entertaining and uniting the city of Atlanta since 1968, the Atlanta Hawks & State Farm Arena continues to build bridges through basketball by following its True to Atlanta mantra. On the court, the Hawks’ exciting young core is led by All-Star point guard Trae Young as the organization received the NBA’s top ranking in overall in-game experience for the last two seasons. 

 

Off the court, the Hawks organization focuses on positively impacting the lives of Atlantans by providing access to youth basketball and fighting food insecurity.

This is a series of newspaper typography designed to tribute to the famous musician: Michael Jackson.

 

For this project, I designed several typefaces inspired by some of the adjectives used to describe him and quotes from MJ's interviews: loneliest, smooth, perfectionist, and rhythmic. The typeface in the center of the first page consists of thousands of people, which contrasts with the content of the quote and shows the loneliness of this legend.

 

The typeface on the second page shows the smoothness of MJ's moonwalk by using dust floating above the moon in the universe.

 

On the third page, the font of "Perfectionist" shows the fragility of his personality in the flowing bubbles. Even though he was a perfectionist, he was so vulnerable to the overwhelming negative public opinion.

 

On the last page, I designed each letter of "Rhythm" in conjunction with a view of nature, inspired by one of MJ's famous quotes: "Everything has a rhythm."

This is a UI/UX redesign project for Savannah Coffee Roaster. By leveraging the expertise of information architecture, we aim to enhance the current chiaotic website experience to build profound impact of digital venue on customers engagement.​

From primary research, we found several oppotunities for the website refinement. The brand story and consistency telling is lacking. Home page lacks important information. Navigation is difficult. There are accessibility issues. Easier features needed for younger audience.

“03 united lifestyle” is a clothing brand founded in Qingdao, China. The brand aims to provide young people with an integrated and innovative lifestyle. The brand specializes in streetwear, shoes, accessories, cultural products, art peripherals, etc.

 

“03” is taken from the Chinese Taoist culture of “one life, two lives, two lives, three lives”. The name “03” is derived from the Chinese Taoist saying, “One is born from two, two is born from three, and three is born from all things.”

As an apparel designer, I took responsibility for designing the graphics for tees, hoodies, and jackets. by referring the graphics used in streetwear culture, I got inspired by elements in classic oil paintings and paisley bandanas, integrating the city culture with it.

The Meme Mini App fosters community and creativity within Seam by connecting memers and users through shared humor, experiences, and interests. With simple tools for creating and sharing customizable memes, it encourages creativity, engagement, and interaction, helping people build connections through humor.​

Team Seam Meme, won First Place in the design challenge hosted by Seam Social x SCADpro. we learned that humor is a powerful way to bring people together and foster community. We realized the importance of keeping the design simple and intuitive to ensure a seamless user experience. Collaboration was key, as our diverse skills allowed us to approach problems creatively and develop innovative solutions.

Explore the theoretical and pragmatic issues in the design of physical spaces and forms with an emphasis on the integration and application of visual and typographical elements to objects and environments.

Analyze and evaluate existing physical environments and sensory designs to identify successful strategies and design opportunities for creating immersive experiences. Conceptualize and develop a visual experience prototype appropriate to a specific context.

Scope:

Focused on big-picture, experiential placemaking, directional, and identification opportunities within the 99 Scott space. How do these users find and identify these spaces? What visual cues do users have to get to these destinations? Does the activation of these spaces have a meaningful effect on the user’s experience?
